For nearly a decade Laura has worked with the County Clerk’s office, serving in many capacities from Election Judge, Election Day Field Liaison, Election Site Manager and Election Trainer. With millions of dollars spent on elections and less than 50% turn out rates, more must be done to encourage citizens of Lake County to exercise their right to vote.
She has been involved in various civic activities, including working for national election reform as a citizen’s activist for organizations such as VoteTrust USA, which advocate for secure, accessible and verifiable elections throughout the country. She is a PTA mom and a precinct committeeperson.
Laura has a strong background in business operation, data and records management in regulated industries. She currently owns a company called Watershed Consulting Group which provides business management, compliance and training services to Fortune 500 companies.
For twenty years, Laura has worked to help businesses run more efficiently and expend resources more effectively. She believes it’s time for our government to do the same. As a small business owner she understands what sacrifices must be made to ensure essential services are provided and working families prosper.
Laura Tomsky will raise the standards of accuracy for Lake County records and data being managed by this office including voting records and registration. Laura will put an end to using public funds to produce materials that promote the name of the current Clerk over the function of the materials or the purpose of the office. |
